First post! The blog will be a place to find up to date information on the tour and anything else we find interesting that is related to Little House on the Prairie.
Little House on the Prairie has remained one of the most popular and beloved celebrations of early Americana since the appearance of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s popular classic book series 70 years ago. Now the inspirational stories take on a brand new frontier in an uplifting new musical. Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura for 10 years in the much loved television series, continues her legacy by starring as Ma. Families will continue to fall in love with these life affirming stories about the Ingalls’ struggles and triumphs through the celebration of the pioneering spirit and the core values on which this country was founded – a spirit that resonates within each of us today.
So pleased LHOP is a musical. Loved it has a little girl, now a Mom of my own and the same age as Melissa G., I really appreciate and look forward to this family fun musical coming out. We will definitely be there when it comes to our town next year!! Well done to you, Melissa, for letting us participate in hearing your beautiful singing voice!
I can’t wait for this production! It has a great pedigree and I’ve heard very good things about the show.
Welcome to blogland!
I am counting the days until this wonderful musical comes to the Gammage Theater in Phoenix.
It will be a wonderful event and experience for both my children and myself.
See you soon!
I can hardly wait to see this Musical. The magic of this wonderful story will again touch those who see it. I was forever inspired by the weekly sitcom as a child. I still enjoy the reruns. Now my wee grandchildren can experience the love.
I can’t wait to see it either! Wow. Melissa Gilbert all grown up and playing Ma.
I saw Little house on the prairie at Starlight a few days ago. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. My loved every song but my most favriote song was “Wild Child”. I took a tour back stage and in the middle of the tour Melissa drove up in her car with Michel Boxleitner (Her son) who plays Willie and Steve Blanchard who plays Pa.
When the curtin goes up in act 1 you know you’ll love it as much as I did. You’ll fall in love with every song like I did.
