I went to the January 20th show in Madison. I have been a fan of Melissa Gilbert since I was a kid watching Little House on TV. I was never so disappointed that Melissa was not there. I saved for the tickets had seats two rows from the stage and could not wait. I wish she could have been there. Her name was even on the board outside that she was playing MA. I did enjoy the show but had a broken heart! The show was great. Wish they could have rescheduled it.

We just came from a wonderful engagement in Madison, WI and are looking forward to five fine weeks in a city we all like alot. I guess you’ll see the notes to others about the original cast album. I’m so glad you wrote to tell us how much you loved the show. The Madison audiences were awesome. I wish I could tell you that we had a CD, but we don’t. Original cast albums are becoming very, very difficult to get made. We’re working on it though. SO many people have written us asking for them.

Dear Heidi:

Melissa was REALLY sorry to miss the performances. She had a touch of pneumonia, which made her REALLY short of breath. So, we thought she shouldn’t play. Her understudy, Meredith Ingalsby is really great. So while it wasn’t melissa, I promise you you got as good a show as if it were. Everybody had a great time in Madison. We’re off to Toronto.

Melissa had a little touch of phneumonia. Not serious, but serious enough to make her short of breath. She’s going to be fine and will be playing Toronto. She was really sorry to miss the couple of performances in Madison, which was so hospitable to the show.

The show in Omaha was AMAZING! The cast did an incredible job! As I am involved in theatre myself, their spectacular performance made me want to hug them and give them all flowers! :)
