My Laura is my daughter. She is 9 years old and full of the same sweetness, spunk and loyalty that was Laura’s charm. She first saw the Little House pilot movie when she was six. Then we read the books together. The adventures in those books have led to many wonderful conversations. When the musical came to Detroit, I bought tickets for both of us. We loved the show! When she finally understood that the Laura from the show was Ma in the musical, well, I can’t describe the pure joy she had on her face. We hummed the tunes from the show for days and weeks afterwards. Thank you so much for putting together a stellar cast! I bought Melissa’s book “Prairie Tale” at the show and loved it. Thank you Melissa for being involved with this project, you added that piece of history and connection that made me sentimental right from the start.
Please make a DVD of this musical! Keep up the good work – on the stage and off!
