Kevin Stites

Previously with the Hollywood Bowl: Guest Conductor for LES MISERABLES. Broadway: Music Supervisor, Arranger and Music Director for the Broadway musical A TALE OF TWO CITIES; Music Supervisor for THE COLOR PURPLE for which he also composed the Incidental Music; Music Director for LES MISERABLES (2006 Revival); and as Music Director and Conductor, recent credits include: THE THREEPENNY OPERA; FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (2004 Revival) and NINE (2003 Tony Award – Best Musical Revival) – both directed by David Leveaux; the Trevor Nunn/Susan Stroman revival of OKLAHOMA!, Maury Yeston’s TITANIC (1997 Tony Award – Best Musical), the revival of Leonard Bernstein’s ON THE TOWN (directed by George C. Wolfe), Andrew Lloyd Weber’s SUNSET BOULEVARD, and PAMELA’S FIRST MUSICAL (BC/EFA Benefit Concert).
Theatrical national tours include THE COLOR PURPLE, MARTIN GUERRE (American Premiere), MISS SAIGON, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, LES MESERABLES, and TITANIC (Music Supervisor).  He conducted CHESS in Toronto, and in his native Chicago he served as Music Director for over 60 productions, receiving 6 Joseph Jefferson Awards for his work on SWEENEY TODD, CHESS, PAL JOEY, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, BABY, and WINDY CITY.  In Chicago, he also served as Music Director for the acclaimed OVATIONS Series, at the Auditorium Theatre.

TV: Music Director and Composer for the NBC prime time variety special ROSIE LIVE!; Letterman, Rosie, Thanksgiving Parade, Tony Awards, others.  Future projects include positions on the Richard Maltby Jr., David Shire and John Weidman’s TAKE FLIGHT, Maury Yeston, Thomas Meehan and Peter Stone’s DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY.
